This one came in a couple weeks ago for a complete wiring job, chassis harness and EFI harness. This is Cary's 1980 C10 w/ '03 Corvette LS1 & 4L60e transmission. The customer started the install and decided it was a little more than what they were comfortable doing.

New harness is done!! I modified the original harness for the distribution center. This required removing all the wiring, fuses, relays, and connectors no longer needed.

The new power distribution center harness is now trimed to length, populated with added relays for electric fans for the radiator and transmission cooler, added inline connections for all the aftermarket components, loomed, and labeled for anyone in the future who may work on the TJ.

In the shop this past week and next week is a 2004 TJ. It's in for some wiring TLC due to years of add ons, cuts, splices, and lots of unused factory connections because this Jeep now sports a 2010 5.3 w/6l90e trans from a GM truck.

Plans for this one is moving the power distribution center from under the hood and relocating it inside with a new one off power center, re-wiring the EFI and transmission with a new stand alone harness, and redoing all of the wiring and switches for the air lockers, air compressors and all the exterior lighting the Jeep is now equipped with.

The owner started removing parts and doing the clean up himself before throwing in the towel and outsourcing the job. Here's what it looked like when it was dropped off.

The old 1967 fuse block from the Camaro with glass fuses and rusty contacts, and this one isn't as bad as most. Still only 7 fused circuits for the entire car. Definitely not fun trying to troubleshoot problems.

In the past I've found dry wall screws, metal pencil ends, and bolts in place of fuses. Obviously in those cases, the "band-aid" fixes ended up being permanent and were just waiting for disaster.

The new fuseblock has more modern blade style fuses, and 18 fuses to seperate the different circuits. Additionally, both flashers and horn relay are all moved to an easy to reach location.

In the shop now is James' 1967 Camaro. It's getting a complete rewire and setting the harness up for a future Holley EFI swap.

Once the old harness was out, prep work on the new Painless harness began. The Interior harness is now modified for the future EFI expansion, complete, and ready to go in. Some finishing touches on the front lighting harness and build a tail harness, we can get the new parts in this old car.

Here's Chris' 1969 Firebird that was recently completed. This install included cleaning up a previous shops attempt at an install, fixing the front LED lights and adding Dapper Lighting rear LEDs.

Since completion Chris has gone on to win 3 best of shows. The wiring probably played little to do with his awards, but it did ensure he made it to the show and back without troubles
