Base2SRT Progress and completion of my 2004 Dodge Neon Base Model into a 2004 Dodge SRT-4 etc. Many many parts bought from Forum and Facebook users.

From the factory this was a 2004 Dodge Neon Base Model, with a 2.0L SOHC Engine and Automatic Transmission. Currently it's a full SRT-4 Stage 2 swap powered by a 2.4L DOHC Turbocharged Engine with a manual 5 speed transmission. The car was stripped to a bare chassis and every possible SRT-4 part was obtained and installed. This was not a typical donor car swap, for example: the engine was from a l

ocal pick n pull, the transmission was from a friend of a friend, the interior wiring came from NC, the engine wiring came from MO, rust free suspension hardware from CA, Stage 2 PCM from PA.. There are parts from at least 20 different SRT-4s in this build, sourced over a 2 year period. The bulk of the engine/turbo performance parts were already on hand from a previous SRT swap I had done to my 1998 Dodge Neon R/T. The only items original to the car besides the frame are the front and rear glass, wiper arms & motor, passenger fender, trunk lid and tail lights.

Current cluster mileage: 87884 (6/19/17) = 143768 Body Mileage = 2118 Build Mileage

Last Saturday we hit the dyno. 272hp & 338tq with a bad boost leak. Spiked 20psi and dropped to 13psi for most of the pull. Got some chasing to do. Once the leak is found and fixed it should give much better numbers.
