Recap of Grands X

Started out a little rough as we struggled to find speed on a new kart.
Thursdays practice was a wash - due to brake and fuel pickup issues.
Qual and heats went well on Friday and Saturday - leaving us hopeful for Sundays finals.

Heavy - We felt like we had the fastest kart, we took the lead a couple of times but in the end fell a tad short and landed P2.

Light - continues to be a struggle, we tried the “Eli Warren gear” in the final but it was too low for us. 🤣
Dang Eli was fast!!!
Started P12 - finished P12.

Medium - had fast pace, went purple, went off track 3 times, wound up watching the race from the middle of the track with DNF.
Brought home the kart with bent frame and spindle.

Summer Nats recap
for Owen Lloyd
Our first race with the new VLR karts didn’t turn out as planned. But it’s all part of racing and learning a new kart.

On Friday we struggled with finding the correct chassis setup.
Saturday was a little better and we found some speed, but changing weather conditions just added to the struggles.
Sunday’s weather conditions still did not play in our favor -

Medium P12

Definitely a lot more testing before the Grands.
