When the grandkids love the shop dogs just as much as we do.

Homemade dog treats for Rambo and Mini showed up last week, complete with a sweet message from the grandkids. It's safe to say these two are pretty spoiled around here.

Pete's Automotive has always been about more than fixing cars. It's family, good people, and a couple of shop dogs who are always happy to make a new friend.

Thanks for making Rambo and Mini feel so loved. We have a feeling these treats won't last long. 🐾❤️

🥁 Drum roll please...

The third action figure in our Employee Spotlight series has officially arrived.

Introducing Nathan Banks: Operations Support.

Nathan has a habit of turning "I've never done that before" into "I've got it figured out."

If he runs into something he's never done before, chances are he'll spend an evening watching YouTube videos until he's learned it well enough to tackle it himself. Around here, we joke that if Nathan says, "I think I can figure it out," it's as good as done.

That mindset doesn't stop when he leaves the shop.

Recently, he built a backyard fire pit complete with custom swinging chairs, giving his family a place to gather after long days. He also built six raised garden beds that his wife is now enjoying as they learn how to grow their own harvest. Add in helping care for the family's herd of cattle, chasing after three energetic boys, and supporting the future of Pete's Automotive, and it's safe to say Nathan doesn't spend much time sitting still.

His engineering background gives him a natural curiosity, but it's his willingness to keep learning that really sets him apart. Whether it's finding a better process, solving a challenge behind the scenes, or helping move the business forward as the second generation of Pete's Automotive, Nathan is always looking for the next solution.

We're grateful to have him on the team.

We figured it was about time for a little Bronco update.

Two weeks ago, this little fella entered the world and immediately kept us on our toes.

His mama surprised us with twins, but it didn't take long to realize Bronco was going to need a little extra help. Sometimes that's just the way things go on the farm. So we grabbed the bottles, rolled up our sleeves, and got to work.

Three bottle feedings a day have become part of the daily routine around here, and we'd say Bronco is doing just fine.

He's growing like a w**d and has already become part of the family. If you've ever fed a bottle calf, you know they don't exactly eat politely. Bronco comes charging into that bottle with his whole head every single time, which made his name feel pretty fitting.

Truth be told, we weren't sure what those first few days were going to look like, but this little guy has a lot of grit. Watching him get a little stronger every day has been pretty rewarding.

We spend our days taking care of vehicles, but before and after the shop, there's a whole lot of life happening around here. We're grateful we get to share a little bit of both with y'all.

Thanks for cheering Bronco on. We have a feeling he's just getting started.

We have a sign hanging in our shop called "Pete's Road to Leadership."

It's been a quiet reminder for years of the kind of culture we want to build.

It starts with two simple ideas:
"I care about you."
"I care about what you do."

From there, everything else follows. Integrity.

Transparency. Humility. Building exceptional teams. Embracing useful change. Supporting innovation, even when it means taking risks and learning from failure.

Holding ourselves and each other accountable.
None of these principles have anything to do with changing oil or replacing brakes, yet they influence every repair we make and every conversation we have with a customer.

The truth is, we don't always get it right. Sometimes we fall short of the standard we've set for ourselves. When that happens, our goal isn't to make excuses. It's to listen, learn, grow, and do better the next time.

Leadership isn't about perfection. It's about continually choosing the right direction.

We're grateful for a team that strives to live these values every day, and we're thankful for the trust our customers place in us.

Everybody notices the shiny tools and the lifts.
Nobody notices these old workhorses.

What you're looking at is an evaporative cooler. Instead of using traditional air conditioning, it pulls air through water soaked pads to help lower the temperature in the shop bays.

They aren't pretty, but when it's 100 degrees outside, they're some of the most important equipment in the shop.

We had a little fun with the action figure trend and decided Pete deserved his own edition.

If you've been around the shop for any length of time, you know Pete would probably be the first person to laugh at this.

The accessories seemed fitting though:
✔ A shop dog
✔ A coffee mug
✔ Shuttle keys
✔ A customer repair plan
✔ Team lunches
✔ A commitment to doing things the right way

For years, Pete has worked to build a shop that takes care of both customers and employees. That's something we're proud to be a part of.
