It is with deep sadness that we share the unexpected passing of Mike Frisbee on December 13, 2025. Mike was a devoted family man, cherished friend, and skilled entrepreneur. His love for adventure was contagious. He lived with honesty and integrity—guided by a strong moral code—and loved his family and friends unconditionally. Mike had a true passion for working on cars and took special joy in customizing Ford diesels and Toyota Land Cruisers.
Mike was born October 19, 1974, while his parents, Don and JoAnn Frisbee, were serving as missionaries in Papua New Guinea. In 1986, the Frisbee family moved to Waxahachie, where Don had previously founded Don Frisbee Automotive in 1983. From a young age, Mike had an engineer’s mind. More than a mechanic, he wanted to understand how and why things worked. When he wasn’t working, he was off-roading, overlanding, and spending every spare moment he could in the mountains of Colorado.
In 2003, Mike married Jennifer—his best friend, trusted confidant, loyal business partner, and biggest supporter. Together, they built multiple businesses respected throughout their community and raised three wonderful sons: Tanner, Kyan, and Cutter. Mike adored his daughter-in-law, Kaycie, and was proud to see the Frisbee family grow. Nothing made him smile quite like being “Biggs” to his grandchildren, Kohen and Kollins. Mike and Jennifer’s greatest adventure of all was raising their boys, and his legacy lives on through them—his values, work ethic, strength, and the lessons he so intentionally instilled.
Mike found purpose in working on something every day. Through his dedication and hard work, he built a wide circle of clients, friends, and family. He connected with people through words of wisdom, loud music, and roaring engines. If you were lucky enough to ride with him—whether on a wild road adventure, a daring night-vision-only pasture ride, or a soul-filling drive through the mountain passes he loved—you never forgot it. Mike loved fiercely, and there were no limits to what he would do for the people he cared about. He leaves behind a strong family and a loyal community who will forever remember the sound of his tools at work and his steady devotion to those he loved. In honor of his legacy, the family asks that you enjoy the beauty of nature as Mike did—and always lend a helping hand to someone in need.
Mike is survived by his wife, Jennifer Frisbee; his sons, Tanner, Kyan, and Cutter; his daughter-in-law, Kaycie; and his beloved grandchildren, Kohen and Kollins. He is also survived by his parents, Don and JoAnn Frisbee; his siblings, Don Frisbee III, Debbie Sanchez, and Katherine Frisbee; his nieces and nephews, Adriana, Joel, Adina, Garrett, Gatlin, Alissa, and Jennings (who lovingly called him “Fuppin”); his in-laws, Michael and Lois Yarborough; and his sister-in-laws, Sasha Herrin (and her husband, James Herrin), and Tiffany Yarborough.
Mike’s legacy will live on through his family and the continued work of Frisbee Automotive, Inc. The family expresses heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this time of mourning, remembrance, and transition.
