We have a passion for making beautiful Gen3 hemi parts, but most of you don’t know we have a passion for cooking. We compete in competition BBQ when not designing and making parts. Today I’m pressing the easy button and using the pellet smoker instead of a stick burner, but the result will be the same podium finish we are accustomed to.

Finishes need a bit of work and will be addressed, but here is the first gear drive assembly for a Gen3 hemi. Top gear works just like a locked out VVT phaser. No chain stretch, no broken tensioners. Up to 4 degrees of re**rd or advance and comes “pin” ready for the guys that want to pin the gear to the cam.

It’s going on an engine now (after bearing press) and get at functional fit. Then it’s heading off to get tested on a running engine.

I committed early on to trying this car just how it came. Now that I’m getting close to taking out for the first time I’m interested to see what others think it will do and what improvements might be necessary. First off, we are going to make right around 725 hp na and have up to a 200 shot of nitrous available with a target of 5.25 in the 1/8th mile.

The car is light, a little over 2300 lbs (2500 with me in it). Transmission is a 1.69 low glide and it has a 5.00 rear gear with 28” tire. Any chances this is happy off the bat?

What do we have here? Why yes, it's a VVT delete gear drive. Soon to be assembled and tested! Developing quality parts takes time and a pretty big financial commitment. We will push these out to the masses as soon as we get done testing to insure we only ship the best quality product.
