This was a humbling moment I was happy to have the opportunity to recover. As a business owner we only want to share our accomplishments and not our failures. I failed to recover this one. After breaking a chain and a wire rope extension on multiple tries I called it quits.
I could have regrouped and kept trying but I opted to stop tempting fate. When you have 18k pounds of pressure on something and then a failure happens to a chain it all comes flying back at you at Mach Jesus.
I am happy the owners gave me an opportunity to try and I left them with options to call. It was definitely a learning moment.
