Charlie, thank you for 25 years of dedication and impact—we truly appreciate you!

Today we celebrate Charlie Sann, General Manager of Kocourek Subaru, on his milestone anniversary.

Charlie’s journey in the automotive industry began long before he officially joined Kocourek Automotive. As a “Little Brother” to owner Keith Kocourek since the age of six through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northcentral Wisconsin, Charlie has truly grown alongside the organization and has been an integral part of its success from the very beginning.
From running around the lot washing cars as a kid to leading a highly successful Subaru dealership, Charlie’s dedication, leadership, and impact have touched countless people across the organization and our community.

Service Technician | Kocourek Subaru

You recently achieved the milestone of becoming a Subaru Senior Master Technician. What does that accomplishment mean to you, and what did the journey to get there look like?
When I started at Kocourek, I was a sales consultant. Shortly after, I transitioned into the role of Delivery Coordinator. Then, I ended up back here in the shop. When I first started in the Kocourek Subaru shop, I simply applied what I knew from high school shop class, as I had no formal schooling for this. Being largely self-taught and going from a mentee to a mentor has been rewarding, to say the least. 🙌

What are you most looking forward to this summer?
Being able to go outside and not have to deal with the negative, Alaskan-style cold temperatures.

What is one specific skill you've developed along the way that you're proud of?
No matter the situation, you have to go into it with a positive attitude. Even if a bolt snaps and it's going to take you an extra hour to finish the job, take it at face value and get the job done. 💪

What is your favorite activity outside of work?
Spending time with my wife and kids, along with anything that has to do with cars!
