This is the view from my desk every day, and yes, I watch that diesel number closely. 👀

Today: regular is $3.85 and diesel is $6.39. Diesel looks scary, so let's do the math.

⛽ Gas van at 14 MPG: about 27.5¢ per mile
⛽ Sprinter diesel at 22 MPG: about 29¢ per mile

That's only a penny and a half difference, even with diesel at $6.39.

Now look at what you get for that penny and a half:
🔧 Oil changes every 20,000 miles instead of 5,000–7,500
🛡️ 5-year/100K powertrain warranty instead of 60K
💪 Up to 6,812 lbs payload and 533 cu ft of cargo space
🏁 A diesel built to run 200K–300K+ miles

Over 100,000 miles, that's about 13 to 20 oil-change stops you don't have to make. For a work van, time off the road costs real money.

The price at the pump isn't the whole story. Even today, it's still a great deal. 🚐
