As the workday winds down at the shop and everyone is hustling to get their last tasks for the day complete, it sometime gets easy to forget while we work at a motorcycle dealership. On a beautiful summer evening those thoughts begin to manifest. The task of pushing the last display bike into the building begins to morph into the thought of how fun a Tracker 400 is at blasting around town. Couple that with a growling stomach begging for a fresh double cheeseburger or triplet of street tacos (that I swear can be smelled from the downtown area), next thing you know the helmet is on and I am rolling.
While in the saddle and things are digesting, an interest in why people are congregating in certain areas fuels one's curiosity. Should I stop and take a look? Of course! What becomes apparent then is how good this bike looks during the pre-sunset golden hour. Time to put the camera to work. I collect the digital proof of what a great evening it was. These pics will be used to gloat to my coworkers tomorrow about what they missed out on when went our separate ways at the end of the work day. And with that, I quickly realized that daylight is fading. Time to get back on the street!
The next 1.5 hours were spent reinforcing the fact of how fun these Triumph 400's are zipping around the city and suburbs. Bringing the Tracker back to the store after hours and carefully parking it in its designated area brought back of the flashbacks of childhood. Back then the task was parking my minibike precisely where it was when dad left for work in the morning while being grounded and sneaking a ride before he got home that night. (Like most parents-he knew I was sneaking rides but figured I could be doing worse things!)
