We know the in's and out's and quirks of all aspects of your Subaru. If you don't already

know, the Subaru driveline is unique in engine layout and driveline layout and operation. For this reason it leaves a lot of shops scratching their heads when it comes to repairing them or even gaining a direction on where to start when an issue occurs. We do a lot of diagnosis and larger repair jobs for other shops because of this. We only stock and use quality parts in every job we do!! In engine and transmission repair and service almost everything we use is original equipment. Inferior aftermarket parts often lead to a near future failure causing the customer to pay for the job again within the time they own the vehicle or worse by causing catastrophic failure and taking out other components. In cases where OE parts aren't used due to high price tags, we make the best decision in what aftermarket part is suitable and won't create issues. Even the wrong choice in an aftermarket axle shaft can leave you with a vibration that will leave you annoyed every time you drive your car. Parts:
We stock new OE service parts for your Subaru and can get pretty much anything from stock replacement parts to aftermarket performance (most next day). We also have a large inventory of used parts from various models. If you need any part for your Subaru, even if just a bolt, ask us first!!! Our parts pricing is competitive with even internet based parts suppliers! We can also provide consultation on that build you are planning on starting. From years of experience we know what works and fits/performs well.

Different type of project in the shop the last few days.
Decided to use some reclaimed materials from a room tear out at the shop to make a counter for the office. It escalated a bit with a stained/poly’d tongue & groove face and butcher block top. Can’t wait to get it in there once the poly finishes drying!

Effective Friday 11/17/23, Flat Four Specialties is no longer accepting service appointments.

I would like to thank everyone that has made the past 16 years possible! I have definitely had some amazing customers, employees & suppliers over the years, that in turn sprouted many friendships. I can’t stress enough how grateful I am for all the referrals! It might not seem like a big deal to mention a small business to a friend or throw out a recommendation on a post, but I can say from personal experience that its impact is tremendous. I never advertised, didn’t participate much in social media, etc… but was able to stay rolling for all these years and that is primarily due to the power of your referrals! Thank you!!

I had always said that I’d hang with service until the EJ powered Subarus are about gone, which in my area it’s nearing that time. Additionally, this past year was an awakening with some back issues and I need to make some changes to attempt to preserve my health/well being. My future path will be focused on vehicle resale, other resale areas and furthering our real estate ventures.

Some quality Amazon parts arranged a meeting between the pistons and valves on this 09 Forester.
With 140k on the car, the original past due for replacement parts would likely have looked ok if removed at this point. This Evergreen belt has deep cracks between each cog.
Thank you Amazon, EBay, Rockauto, etc… for the job security! 😂
