Position Summary:
We are looking for a dependable and motivated Shop Helper / Cleaner to support the daily operations of our semi-truck repair facility. This position plays a key role in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment while assisting technicians and staff as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Sweep, mop, and pressure wash shop floors and work areas
Empty trash, dispose of shop waste, and maintain cleanliness of workstations
Clean and organize tools, parts, and equipment
Assist technicians with basic tasks (fetching tools, parts, supplies)
Maintain exterior shop areas including parking lots and entrances
Refill shop supplies (shop towels, oil absorbents, etc.)
Perform routine checks of equipment for cleanliness and basic function
Help with unloading parts deliveries and stocking shelves
Follow all safety protocols and report hazards to supervisor
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Must be reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the day
Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus
Valid driver's license preferred
Compensation:
$16-20 per hour
1099 position
Work Environment:
Indoor/outdoor shop setting
Exposure to loud noise, grease, oils, and heavy equipment
Personal protective equipment (PPE) provided
