We're Hiring a Collision Repair Technician:
Position Overview: The Auto Body\ Collision Repair Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repairs as assigned in accordance with Industry, I-Car and vehicle manufacture factory standards.
The body shop technician is responsible for repairing all assigned vehicles. Damaged vehicles are to be restored to pre-accident condition, following the written repair order. The body technician plays a key role in delivering on our collision promise of efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction.
This position interacts daily with Estimators, technicians, parts associates, and owners.
Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in a quality manner. Communicates with the estimator to create an accurate repair plan, to obtain the needed parts, examines the vehicle to determine if additional parts or labor is required based on initial estimate after complete tear down. Completes all repairs according to estimate and follows all quality control processes.
Operates all equipment in a safe manner.
Team Engagement & Problem-Solving, knows status of own vehicles and is open to others’ feedback on getting and keeping vehicles on schedule for on-time delivery.
Safe & Organized Workplace, consistently utilizes all required safety equipment and follows proper repair procedures. Adheres to all requirements for hazardous waste disposal. Keeps personal work area organized and returns tools, materials and equipment to designated areas
Qualifications and Skills
High School diploma or equivalent.
3-5 years Collision and unibody\frame repair experience, I-Car and other industry training and certifications a plus.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, ability to operate an automobile, ability to use frame and measuring equipment per vendor procedures. Must maintain a valid state driver’s license in order to drive any customer or company vehicle. Predictable and reliable attendance required. Periodic lifting and carrying objects over 50 pounds. Reaching above and below shoulder level.
