🌟 Employee Spotlight: Meet Makayla Sweeting!

Makayla joined our BDC team a little over two months ago after a referral from our very own “BDC queen,” Hannah! With a background in retail, this is her first role in the automotive industry—and she’s loving the opportunity to learn and grow her professional skills.

Her favorite part of Davidson is the sense of family and community. Everyone’s warm welcome and support have made learning her new role easier than she anticipated!

Originally from Syracuse, Makayla moved to Croghan this past year. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor adventures, reading romance and thriller books, spending time with her girlfriend and their new kitten, and visiting family and friends back in Syracuse.

A few of her favorites:

🚙 Vehicle: Fifth-generation Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer Edition

🦅 Team: Philadelphia Eagles—Go Birds!

🧁 Food: Any sweet treat!

🏔️ Vacation destination: Out West or Iceland

🐢 Animal: Sea turtle

💚 Color: Green

We’re so glad to have you in the Davidson family, Makayla! 💚

It’s an experimental build, but we have to ask… would you drive it, or should a Mustang stay a Mustang? Let us know below! ⬇️

A Mustang with a pickup bed? Ford, you have our attention. 👀

Ford apprentices built this one-of-a-kind concept, replacing the Mustang’s rear seats and trunk with a pickup bed using parts from a Ranger!

Employee Spotlight: Darlene Paddock!

Meet Darlene, a Service Appointment Coordinator at Davidson! After moving back to the area, she brought her extensive customer service experience to our team. Her favorite part of the job is helping customers—from those she’s spoken with for years to those scheduling with her for the first time.

Born in Rochester and raised in Chippewa Bay, Darlene learned the value of hard work early. Her family rented summer cottages and ran a mom-and-pop store. After losing her mother at a young age, she and her brother took over the family’s seasonal store as teenagers, working seven days a week during the summer—an experience she credits with building character.

Outside of work, Darlene loves spending time with her husband, Paul, her children, Matthew and Bridget, and her granddaughter, Braelyn. She’s a longtime Buffalo Bills fan, enjoys riding her 2009 Harley-Davidson Tri Glide, and serves as secretary of the Chrome Divas of Watertown, a women’s motorcycle organization.

She also loves antiques, Halloween, and working around her 20-plus-acre property, which includes a barn from the 1800s!

Thank you, Darlene, for helping our customers feel welcome and cared for!

Proud to support the kids in our community! 💙

Davidson is honored to present a $500 donation in support of the Children’s Miracle Network Radiothon at Samaritan Medical Center. Funds raised through CMN stay local, helping support pediatric care and families throughout Jefferson, Lewis, and St. Lawrence counties.

And our support doesn’t stop there! Members of the Davidson team will also be volunteering during the Radiothon to help support this incredible cause.

We’re grateful to play a small part in helping make a BIG difference for local kids! 💛
