The FY 2026 Port Security Grant Program is open — is your vessel project ready?

The 2026 Fiscal Year Port Security Grant Program (PSGP) is now open with $95M in funding available to help strengthen the nation’s critical infrastructure against potential terrorist attacks. The Port Security Grant Program helps eligible maritime partners strengthen port security, protect critical infrastructure, and improve response capability. Applications are due July 24, 2026.

For ports, law enforcement, fire/rescue teams, harbour patrols, ferry operators, terminal operators, and marine public safety agencies, the strongest vessel projects start with a clear mission:

What security gap needs to be closed?
What response capability needs to improve?
What operations must the vessel support — patrol, interdiction, fire/rescue, multi-agency response, surveillance, or critical infrastructure protection?

At MetalCraft Marine, we build purpose-driven aluminum patrol, fire/rescue, and port security vessels around the real operating requirements. Early planning matters. The vessel configuration, crew layout, propulsion, equipment integration, and mission profile should all support the capability your agency is trying to fund. If your team is considering a PSGP vessel project, now is the time to shape the requirements before the application is locked. Let our experienced sales team help you understand the grant application process, allowable projects, costs, and frame a strong investment justification.

On Memorial Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom.

For years, MetalCraft Marine has had the privilege of building vessels that serve alongside the heroes we honor today. Our boats operate with law enforcement agencies, military units, and first responders across North America, on rivers, coastlines, and waterways where the trust placed in us by the men and women in uniform is not taken lightly. We are proud to serve an industry that runs on the values of duty, craftsmanship and dedication.

So today, whether you're on the water, in the shop, or spending time with family, we hope you take a moment to reflect on those who gave everything.
From the MetalCraft Marine team, we are honored to play even a small part in supporting those who serve and protect.

MetalCraft Marine joins the fire service community in recognizing the Line of Duty Death of Firefighter Robert “Bobby” Kilduff Jr. of the Boston Fire Department and Rescue Company 2.

A third-generation firefighter, he tragically lost his life in the line of duty on May 23. Firefighter Kilduff served the City of Boston for 24 years and was a United States Marine Corps veteran.

MetalCraft Marine is honoured to support the Boston Fire Department by manufacturing their rescue vessels. We have deep respect for the men and women who serve, and moments like this remind us of the sacrifice that comes with the job.

Our sincere condolences are with the Kilduff family, Rescue Company 2, Local 718, and the entire Boston Fire Department.
