Sunset Ford of Waterloo is part of a family-owned business that has been around for over 100 years! In fact, our Missouri location in South County St. Louis is the 30th oldest Ford dealer in the Nation!
In 1912, back when a gallon of gas sold for only 12ยข, founder Peter S. Heutel opened Sunset Auto Repair and Supply Co, serving the St. Louis, MO area, and the neighboring communities with all of their auto repair needs. From the beginning, Sunset Auto was known for its exceptional service and dedication to its customers and community. Our reputation led to work for influential businesses like Sunset Hills Country Club and Anheuser Bush over the years.
After being awarded the Ford Motor Company franchise in 1916 and becoming an authorized Ford dealer, the company name was officially changed to Sunset Auto Company, Inc, and has since, been dedicated to serving its customers with all of their auto needs. In 1996, the company expanded to better serve our Waterloo, Columbia, Millstadt, Red Bud & surrounding southern Illinois area customers by opening Sunset Ford of Waterloo.
