IMCA SUPER NATIONALS MODIFIED CHAMPIONS!!
WOW What a week! After unloading our Brand New, Newly Designed Longhorn by Awesome House car at the 44th Annual IMCA Racing Super Nationals Fueled by Casey’s we were able to accomplish a Feat that we have been dreaming about since we started this program.
2 years ago the guys over at Longhorn Chassis Approached us about taking over their IMCA Modified Program, we happily took over the responsibility looking forwards to what it could become. We knew we would have our work cut out for us trying to represent the biggest and baddest Late Model chassis brand in the country. But that’s a challenge we were excited for.
In the first year we didn’t build any customer cars. We were focused on Redesigning our personal car, gathering data, and working out all the little kinks and bugs along the way instead of offering an imperfect product. Starting year 2 we built and allotted a very select amount of cars to a very select amount of people, those being close friends and existing Customers/Supporters looking to get some feedback as the cars finally started developing in the right direction. Our mission was simple, keep the circle small, build a small tight knighted team full of competitors but make it feel like a FAMILY.
Our mission continues the same, but now we are READY. Our Longhorn by Awesome IMCA Modifieds are now available to the public but we still have the same goal in mind! Keeping the circle tight and treating it like family. We have a very small and select amount of spots open for the upcoming build season. As we do not plan to mass produce cars or stray from our original Goals/Plans. Spots are already filling up FAST.
We had 5 Longhorn by Awesome Modifieds in attendance, all equipped with Awesome Motorsports Shocks, and Hexa-GONE Pullbars by Awesome. Every car showed speed all week. 2 cars in the Modified Big Dance, one car won Thursdays Qualifier from 9th, One car finished 3rd in the Qualifier on Friday. One WINNING the big dance and the other going 18th->13th! 4 cars Qualifed for the ALLSTAR invitational, One finished 5th from 11th, One going 31st-> 9th (hard charger), One running top 8 before a DNF in the closing laps, and One finishing 19th! We had 2 cars qualify in the Race of Champions race as well (Luke Silber Jerry Flippo)! 7 total heat race wins through the week, and a whole lot of speed shown from all parties!
As many may know we build everything in house. We have been building our own shocks in house for 6 years, we just started building our own custom Hexa-GONE Pullbars fully in house this year. As well as our Longhorns by Awesome! We are a one stop shop.
