🚨 These brakes were METAL TO METAL! 🚨

But what does that actually mean? 👀

It means the brake pads were completely worn down, allowing the metal backing plate to grind directly against the brake rotor.

When brakes go metal-to-metal, it can cause more than just worn-out pads.

🛑 Rotors can be severely damaged — deep grooves, scoring, or heat damage.
🔥 Excessive heat can damage other brake components and affect braking performance.
🔧 Calipers can be damaged if the piston extends too far.
🚗 Stopping distance can increase, making the vehicle unsafe to drive.
