A graveside service is scheduled for my dad, Michael Wood, this coming Friday, May 20th at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery in Duxbury. Please join us as we bring Mike to his final resting place. We plan on focusing on his love of Abenaki culture and riding his motorcycle. Both a Catholic and Abenaki Burial service will be done. I am planning to meet any motorcyclists wishing to ride to the cemetery as an es**rt at @1:30 in the parking lot of the Protestant Church in Waterbury. Please let me know if you are willing to be a road guard. Thank you to everyone who has been there for us over the past few months. Mere words cannot express our gratitude.

Many of you may have already heard, but we wanted to pass along the passing of a Crossroads Motorcycle Rally icon. Michael "Hawk" Wood was struck by a car on December 23rd, and he succumbed to his injuries on January 8th. Each year Hawk offered an Abenaki blessing to motorcyclists and their rides on Sunday morning of the rally. He also worked tirelessly to help put on the event doing everything from helping set up snow fence to riding his ATV to help pick up the trash afterwards. On Friday May 20th there will be a graveside service for him as he makes his last journey from Waterbury to Duxbury. To honor his love of motorcycling, we would like to organize a ride on this day to es**rt Hawk on this final journey. More details to follow!

No more rally

Despite a low turn-out for both the calcutta and the rally, some awesome people stepped up and made for another successful event. We were able to write a check for $2,500 to Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice. This would not have been possible without generous donations from John Farr, Donny and Billy Henn, Jason and Gabrielle Renault, Johnson Hardware, and The Pour House. Thank you everyone that contributed to a successful event!
