Adios Winner #6 πŸŒΈπŸ†

1972 – The Only Dead Heat in Adios History

Strike Out, driven by Keith Waples, and Jay Time, with Gene Riegle aboard, delivered one of the biggest surprises in Adios history when they crossed the wire in a dead heat.
To this day, it remains the only dead heat ever recorded in the Delvin Miller Adios Pace for the Orchids and one of the rarest finishes in major stake racing history.

What makes the story even more remarkable? Neither horse won a heat of the event, yet both were crowned Adios champions.
