We are excited to have Sunnen Products Company here for training this week to improve our machine shop program. We have purchased a SV-30 which is a CNC honing machine. This will speed up our production while helping us achieve straight cylinder’s and any cross hatch degree angle desired. If you are needing some machine work done we are able to help you with faster turnaround and precise specifications desired.

We are thrilled to add a new piece of equipment to our engine program that will set the bar for how honing is done. We purchased a new CNC Sunnen SV-30 and hope to have it up and running in the next 2 weeks.

The Machine shop has been cranking out some work and here are a few Cummins engines that turned out phenomenal. The white one, the customer was having issues with coolant getting into his oil. Once we tore it down and inspected we noticed one of the cylinder bores had a 6” crack causing his issues so we found him a new core and built him a new one. The red one had the notorious block heater bolt break on him and chewed up a piston. We were able to save this engine and put in all new fresh parts and got him back on the road.

Common failure on the 2011-2016 Chevrolet Duramax are CP4(injection Pump) failures. So we put in a new injection pump, fuel lines and fuel rails. Customer also had a head gasket failure so we inspected his cylinder head and reconditioned them in house. Did some ARP Head studs so he doesn’t have an issue again.

Customers truck came in with shifting issues on his Duramax. So we put in a Pierce Performance Stage 1 Allison and also upgraded his transmission cooler to PPE Cooler that will help keep his transmission temperature with the heat we see here in St. George.

We’re looking for an experienced automotive technician to join our growing business. Ideally we would love to hire an individual with experience working on Ford vehicles. We service and repair gasoline and diesel vehicles, so experience with both is a bonus. Applicant must have their own tools. We’re looking for minimum 5 years experience. Pay is 100% dependent on experience, and will be competitive with any other company in Southern Utah. We work Monday through Friday from 8:00-5:00, no Saturdays or OT. This sweet compound turbo Duramax was brought in to us on a tow truck by Sg3 towing and recovery with a massive high pressure fuel leak. We found that the injector feed line for cylinder 7 had failed. Ryan got it swapped out and back to the customer in no time.
