Behind the Scenes: Locking in a milestone. 🔒✨
Last year, to celebrate Charles Leclerc’s 150th Grand Prix start with the Scuderia Ferrari at the 2025 Abu Dhabi GP, we poured absolute precision into recreating his special-edition lid.
The design is a masterclass in contrast: a deep, stealthy black base accented by striking, reflective gold "150 GP" typography and his iconic number 16 outlined in brilliant gold. But how do you take a raw design of vinyl decals and flat paint lines and turn it into a flawless masterpiece?
It all comes down to the final magic step: the clear coat application. 🛡️🎨

1️⃣ The Triple-Lacquer Shield: We apply separate layers of premium clear coat. This isn't just for a beautiful finish; it provides an ultra-hard, scratch-resistant barrier against the elements.
2️⃣ Depth & Dimension: Watch how the clear coat acts like a lens, instantly deepening the black base and causing those metallic gold lines to catch the light and pop with incredible intensity.
3️⃣ Smoothing the Edges: Before the final polish, the lacquer layers bridge the microscopic gaps between the painted shell and the graphic decals, leveling everything out.
4️⃣ The Mirror Finish: No "orange peel" texture here. Our group of artists wet-sands and buffs the final layer down to a completely flat, glass-like reflection that mirrors the lights of the Yas Marina circuit.
