We get this call every single week:

“My pontoon slowed down 5–10 mph… what’s wrong with it?”
Nine times out of ten, the answer is simple — moss and algae on the logs.

When you leave your pontoon sitting in the water, the toons start growing a thick layer of moss/algae. It doesn’t look like much, but it drags your boat down like crazy.

📉 What Moss Does to Your Boat

• Kills 5–10 mph of top speed
• Drops your RPMs
• Burns more fuel
• Makes your boat feel sluggish and heavy

It’s basically like dragging your feet across carpet.
Smooth logs = fast boat.
Mossy logs = slow, thirsty, unhappy boat.

We sell cleaner across the counter for customers to clean their logs it is $45.00 a gallon it makes approximately 8 gallons of spray. We find it’s best to spray it on a with a pump up sprayer and use a brush and powerful power washer to clean your logs. Don’t offer it as a service currently. It is best to do it between 85-65 degrees out knock the scum off first before applying the wash. It does turn your logs white in color..
