We're excited to welcome five interns this summer through the Clatsop WORKS 2026 Internship Program! Throughout the summer, they'll gain hands-on experience in their respective departments, learning about the many moving parts that keep the automotive industry running while building valuable skills for their future careers.

We're looking forward to having them on the team and helping them explore career opportunities in the automotive industry. It's going to be a fun summer!🔧🚘

We kicked off the 2026 Clatsop WORKS Internship program with an Intern Orientation this morning welcoming a record-breaking 58 student interns!!

These talented students are beginning paid summer internships with local employers throughout Clatsop County, gaining valuable hands-on experience, building professional skills, and exploring career pathways right here in our community.

A huge thank you to our incredible employer partners for investing in the next generation of local talent. Your mentorship and commitment help students connect classroom learning to real-world opportunities while strengthening our local workforce.

We can't wait to see what this outstanding group of interns accomplishes this summer. Here's to a season of learning, growth, and meaningful connections!

Today was all about celebrating the people who make Lum's Auto Center what it is. 🎉

At our quarterly employee appreciation lunch, we recognized our technicians on National Automotive Service Professionals Day, presenting each of them with a jacket as a small token of appreciation for the skill, dedication, and hard work they bring every day. We also celebrated team members reaching work anniversary milestones, representing more than 88 years of combined service to our customers, coworkers, and communities.

Between the great food from Gaetano's Market and Deli and the opportunity to spend time together as a team, it was a wonderful afternoon celebrating the people who make Team Lum's special!

We're grateful for every employee who shows up each day to serve our customers, support one another, and help keep our communities moving. ❤️🚗

If the Fratellis were tearing through Astoria today, they’d still be behind the wheel of a Jeep Cherokee... just a very different one than the original!

In The Goonies, the infamous Fratelli family drove a Jeep Cherokee, and since then the Cherokee has been completely reimagined. Modern design, advanced tech, and built for even bigger adventures while still carrying that same rugged spirit.

And the timing makes it even better! June 7th was officially declared “Goonies Day” in the original filming location of Astoria last year during the 40th anniversary celebration. As we celebrate 41 years of this iconic film that put our coastline on the map, we’re grateful for the Goon Docks, One-Eyed Willy’s treasure, and the unforgettable truffle shuffle that made this story a true classic.

Some things change over time… but adventure, nostalgia, and a great story never do!

Pencils up for these Team Lum’s scholars! 🎓✏️

In honor of National Higher Education Day, we’re celebrating five employees who are investing in their futures through higher education while continuing to make a difference at Lum’s.

Through the Stellantis Degrees@Work program in partnership with Strayer University, eligible Lum’s employees have the opportunity to earn associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degrees at no cost. The program covers tuition, books, and fees, helping remove financial barriers and making higher education more accessible.

Please join us in recognizing Amanda, Bayron, Christina, and Tristyn, who are currently enrolled in the program, as well as Corrie, who has successfully completed her degree. Your dedication, perseverance, and commitment to growth inspire all of us!

Number 5 is alive... and Astoria is celebrating! 🎬🤖

This weekend marks the 40th anniversary of the classic 1986 film Short Circuit. To celebrate, we brought a Toyota 4Runner to Stephanie’s House, one of the movie’s most recognizable filming locations, and paid tribute to a beloved piece of Astoria’s film history.

As one of many iconic movies filmed on the Oregon Coast, Short Circuit helped add to Astoria’s legacy as a destination for movie lovers from around the world. Four decades later, fans are still making the trip to see the places where Johnny 5’s unforgettable adventure came to life.

Happy 40th anniversary, Short Circuit! Here’s to movie magic, iconic locations, and the stories that continue to bring visitors to our corner of the Oregon Coast. 🎥✨
