That’s a wrap on our 2026 Annual Training Seminar!

We had a great group join us at Detroit Radiant Products for a few days of hands-on training, product education, and plenty of conversation about all things radiant heat.

Thank you to everyone who made the trip to Detroit and joined us for this year’s seminar. We enjoyed having you and hope you’re heading into heating season with some new knowledge, new connections, and maybe a few new tricks up your sleeve!

Here’s to a great heating season ahead!

The Radiant Heating Road Show is rolling through Wisconsin!

This week, Detroit Radiant's own Alex Napolitan, joined the team at Air Flow, Inc. for two days on the road, making 11 stops and connecting with more than 130 engineers, contractors, and industry professionals.

Each stop gave attendees a hands-on look at radiant heating, including a live tube heater installation demonstration and conversations about system design, application, and installation.

And Airflow isn’t done yet. Their team will continue the road show over the next two weeks, with more than 50 stops planned throughout Wisconsin.

A big thank you to Tom Gelin and the entire Airflow team for the time, planning, and effort that went into putting this together, and to everyone who stopped by to talk heaters with us!

What really drives radiant heater performance?

In the final part of our reflector series, we look at how reflector material, geometry, emitter-tube temperature, and other design choices work together to influence measured radiant output.

Because in the end, no single feature tells the whole story.

Read Part 3:

In Part 1 of our reflector series, we looked at why reflector claims and simplified geometry do not, by themselves, establish heater performance. In Part 2,

How is radiant output from a gas-fired infrared heater actually measured?

Part 2 of our reflector series looks at the difference between safety certification and radiant-performance rating, why a single temperature or output reading doesn’t tell the whole story, how radiant output is mapped, and what Radiant Emission Value (REV) actually represents.

We also take a closer look at stack temperature and why a safety limit should not be confused with a radiant-performance rating.

Can an infrared heater reflector really be “100% efficient”?

It’s a common claim, but the answer is more complicated than a few perfectly drawn lines on a diagram.

Our latest blog looks at how reflector geometry, real materials, emitter temperature, and whole-heater performance all factor into the equation.

Read Part 1 of our reflector series here:

So what does a “100% efficient reflector” actually mean? There is no industry standard that establishes a standalone reflector-efficiency rating, so the

Why can a building have plenty of heating capacity and still feel cold at floor level?

Sometimes the issue is not how much heat is being produced but how that heat is being delivered.

Our newest blog compares infrared radiant heat and forced air, including what happens in buildings with high ceilings, large doors, and unevenly occupied spaces.

When evaluating heating options for a commercial or industrial building, infrared radiant and forced-air systems are often compared as though they accomplish

Radiant heat is not just for warehouses.

From open-air pavilions and restaurant patios to residential outdoor living spaces and luxury garages, infrared radiant heating can be used in places where comfort and design both matter.

Our latest blog explores how modern radiant heating applications are showing up in more polished, design-conscious spaces without taking away from the atmosphere that makes those spaces special.
