Weather was perfect today and the track turned out great! We are prepping the track for the second half of the Atv Ride Weekend tomorrow. Sundays times 9am to 3pm. J&K Barnyard Grill will be serving breakfast in the morning and Rogan Equipment Inc. will be here again showing off some of their youth quads. Want to thank Aaron Smith for stopping out today with his Amsoil display.

You know who probably doesn’t get enough credit in motocross?

The people who keep it all running.

Track owners.
Promoters.
Race directors.
Board members.
Scorers.
Gate workers.
Flaggers.
The people working registration.
The ones out there before daylight and still there when most of us are already packing the trailer.

They catch a lot of s**t.

When the schedule gets changed.
When the track gets rough.
When somebody doesn’t like a call.
When the weather screws everything up.

Everybody has an opinion.

And yeah… sometimes things could probably be done better.

But here’s the part that gets forgotten.

Without these people, there’s no race.

No gate dropping.

No little kid lining up for his first moto.

No parents standing on the fence nervous as hell.

No last lap battles.

No trophies.

No memories.

A lot of these people aren’t getting rich doing it either.

They’re giving up weekends, dealing with complaints, answering messages, chasing problems and trying to put on a race for hundreds of families who all have their own idea of how it should be done.

And most of us only notice them when something goes wrong.

Maybe we should notice them when things go right too.

Because somebody had to put all of this together so our kids could go racing.

And that part deserves a little credit.

Only one day away from the start of our Atv Ride Weekend! Gates open at 6pm Friday, no gate fee and camping is free. Riding fee is $40 per person and kids 10 and under are $15. All 3 tracks will be open with sessions on the big track when needed. Grass drag strip is ready to go and the woods loop will be open with a few wet spots. Saturday hours are 10am to 4pm and Sunday 9am to 3pm. J&K Barnyard Grill will be here serving food all weekend. We have a few vendors also planning to stop out. All atvs are welcome at this event and even if you are unable to ride stop out and talk with other atv enthusiasts. We also will be selling some event shirts printed by Ahedo Print Studios.

Just want to remind everyone on Sept. 26 & 27 we will be holding our second year of ATV Open Ride. This event is open to any style of atv, sport quad or utility. We will have our woods loop open, all 3 tracks and grass drag strip. If you just want to stop out, show off a vintage quad, sell some parts or just watch, there is no Gate fee and camping is also free. You only pay if you ride. Our beginner track and kids track are great for those kids just learning to ride. Also J & K Barnyard Grill will be here selling food. We also have some vendors stopping out for the weekend. Come out and ride or just hang out and talk with other atv enthusiasts!

Mother nature has made it hard on most tracks to open this year. Track started out wet but with a few adjustments we were able to get it to turn around. Still time to ride. Its going to be super tacky today!!!
