Spencer Yachts

We were proud to welcome Senator Bob Brinson, Senator Norman Sanderson, Representative Maria Cervania, Representative Julie von Haefen, and Representative Allison Dahle to Spencer Yachts today for a tour of our boatbuilding facility in Wanchese.

Wanchese has a deep-rooted boatbuilding heritage, built on generations of skilled craftsmanship, hard work, and a connection to the water. We’re proud to be part of that tradition and to continue building boats right here on the Outer Banks.

It was an honor to share our shop, our team, and a little of what goes into building a Spencer with our state leaders. We appreciate them taking the time to visit and learn more about the people and businesses that help make Wanchese and North Carolina’s coastal communities so special.

Proud of where we build. Proud of what we build. Proud to call Wanchese home. ⚓️

Pro tip: If you’re wondering what Dad wants—he wants to go fishing.

Wishing you a Father's Day filled with nothing but a day on the water, rod in hand, and a horizon ahead.

Before the builds, there were the days on the water—learning, refining, understanding. That’s what defines a true “old salt.”

We are proud to see Paul's story shared so thoughtfully.

A sincere thank you to Ryan Stancil and Our State Magazine for the feature.
