🔵”Is the 10” that much bigger than the 9?”
🔵“Is the 12” that much bigger than the 10?”.
These questions get asked a lot on forums and group posts. Though you can’t see the displays powered in this photo, it gives a good idea of the size difference of the units.
Here’s some of my opinion:
The 9” is great if you’re using it on a single view. If you plan on doing a split screen, step up to a 10” or a 12”. The 9” is a great second display for use as say a mapping only screen if you’re going to run two units. The 10” is great all around unit as a standalone or paired side by side or over under with another 10” if you have the means. The 12” works great as a stand alone unit as well. I like it as the main graph at your console as you can use the multi view functions and get a good view of each.
The main difference between a 9” and 10” Xplore is going to be the screens height (1” taller / 3/8” wider), aspect ratio and the screen resolution. The 10” has a much better resolution, if you’re using forward facing sonar, the 10” or the 12” is a must.
All that said, they all have the same powerful features, processor and networking capabilities and are a huge upgrade from the Helix units. The Xplore units are, in my opinion the best marine electronics on the market for the money. If you’re looking to upgrade or add another graph to your boat, grab an Xplore from Humminbird, you won’t be disappointed! Of course you can find them all at evofishingandmarine.com
