Started Work on a New Art Website and an Etsy Shop to sell artprints of my new Art Ohana Mixed Media paintings. Learning alot. Realizing alot.
First, I can print and offer these as beautiful Fine Art Gicle'e without any store or POD for literally half or less, the prices I must charge if I do sell through Etsy or the website I'm working hard on now??? The POD fulfillment partners and the website Fees for ALL OF THEM are VERY high. Too high in my opinion.
On Etsy I must charge $90 for a tiny 6" square Print and $175 for a 16" square print via the best option I can find to use POD. By the time I pay all my expenses and spend several hours getting a professional looking listing up, I will earn $9, and $20 respectively. For ALL MY WORK IN!!! I did the days of work painting the art first. Got it Digitized. Took photos. Set up the Etsy Shop and this listing - approximately 30 hours of work all to earn $9 or $20 respectively while Etsy and the Print Company will earn $81 & $155 respectively??? It would take selling 66 before I would even break even paying myself just $20/hour. After I spent the last 5 years going to Art School then painting like crazy to get good enough at all this and find my ART VOICE. Crazy right???
I'm leaving the Etsy Shop up and may post a few more items there. I mean why not I already did most of the work. But I'm not sending my personal FB friends through them!!! Unless you want a T or Sweatshirt or a Framed Art Print - which I must do POD as I don't have the time to do all that myself.
However, If I just print Fine Art Gicle'e's myself, some of which I've already received and can see are truly AWESOME QUALITY, I can earn a little more per print while charging the buyer ALOT LESS. Truly Insane, right???
So . . . My whole desire is TRULY to SHARE my art with OHANA, first and foremost. Always has been! Also, those who want to put it in their homes to inspire them to live love and aloha everyday. To share with so many who have left Hawaii, while I miss them and know Hawaii has never left their hearts! To share with visitors who remember Hawaii fondly as well. Frankly I live in Hawaii and put this art up in my home, because it is inspiring and encouraging and uplifts any atmosphere it is viewed in. It fits any home decor in which people want to live love and aloha!

Gicle'e Fine Art Print Prices - $75 for a 12x12 or $95 for a 20x20. DM with your email address if you want one, telling me which you want and I'll send you an invoice. I won't make much, but a bit more than $9 each. LOL!!! And you won't have to pay the exorbitant prices I mentioned above! All while you will get high quality Gicle'e Fine Art Prints in larger sizes for literally half the prices of the smaller ones I just put up on Etsy. LMK
