•Leave extra space between you and the car ahead
•Watch for standing water and hydroplaning
• Put the phone down and keep your eyes on the road
• If you see an accident or someone stranded, give them plenty of room

🌧️ Rainy Day Roadside Tips

* Slow down. Wet roads = less traction and longer stopping distances.
* Give yourself extra space between you and the car ahead.
* Turn your headlights on so other drivers can see you.
* Watch for standing water. Hitting it too fast can cause hydroplaning.
* If you hydroplane: ease off the gas, keep the wheel steady, and avoid slamming the brakes.
* Never use cruise control on wet roads.
* If you break down, pull as far off the roadway as possible, turn on your hazards, and stay somewhere safe.

Labor Day Road Safety Tips:
• Obey speed limits and leave plenty of stopping distance.
• Put the phone down while driving.
• Make sure everyone is buckled up! Every trip, every time!
• Don’t drive if you’re tired. Take a break if you need one.
• Never drive impaired. Have a sober driver or make other arrangements.
• Check your tires, fluids, lights, and battery before a long trip.
• If you break down, get somewhere safe if possible, turn on your hazards, and stay aware of passing traffic.
