Had our first Winter Texan season Sit & Sip Coffee hour today. Had so much fun chatting that I forgot to take a photo with all the goodies before we ate them. We also had pumpkin and Sour cream donut holes and apple strudel bites. The mini rose was a gift from our dear Judy and Tony back again this winter for a bit of a visit. Also a warm welcome to Teresa our new guest specialist who sat and sipped with us this morning.

Isn't it true we ALWAYS need more space in our RV? This tip was an instant winner in my book. Unique and RV color-coordinated pillow covers filled with everything from winter sweaters to extra towels to those parkas you only use a month or so a year. I tried it and it does take a bit of folding expertise and careful placement of the filler items but they now adorn my RV bed. I used those oversized pillow shams on the bed for bed linens folded longways with a lightweight blanket surrounding them to keep them in place. A dryer sheet keeps the whole pile smelling fresh.
Thanks for the tip RV Travel newsletter.

Nearby Confluence Park is hosting a Pollinator Tea Party, a FREE, family-friendly, low-waste event that celebrates pollinators through immersive nature playscapes, environmental education, and sustainable practices during the spring Monarch Butterfly migration 🦋

Did you know pollinators are responsible for at least 1 of every 3 bites of food we eat? Learn how a healthy ecosystem connects to our culinary traditions through hands-on experiences including a “Pollinator Prowl” recipe scavenger hunt, fruit and shade tree adoption, and Critter Café in the Estela Avery Education Center. This event invites a multigenerational audience to explore the mini worlds within nature found in our backyards and neighborhood parks, fostering a deeper appreciation for biodiversity and environmental stewardship.

Whether you RV or not, rising fuel costs affect you/us. Farmers pass on equipment fuel costs to our food, airlines cut and raise the cost of flights, home heating oil is shocking and it costs hundred to fill your tank for an RV trip.
Our guests have found two great ways to save and still RV. Sure you've thought of them before but sometimes we get stuck in a pattern of 2 days here, two days at the next park...and before you know it fuel AND higher nightly rates eat up your vacay budget. Sooo,
1. take advantage of weekly or monthly economical rates and stay put a bit to save on fuel. Take advantage of the extra days to see all of your locations' attractions
2. consider e-bikes and bringing along a hybrid or EV to keep your costs low even while touring your destination.
Many of our guests find the San Antonio area very suited to e-bikes and EVs. With the inclusion of EV charging at many RV parks and San Antonio businesses, charging is a breeze.
Y'all come see us at Hidden Valley RV Park and stay longer to save on rates and fuel costs.
