I found these pics of a chop I did back in 2011. There's a million ways to chop a car.. rather than tip the posts in, I prefer to widen the roof and stretch the lenth.. then I cut the center out of a donor roof.. I normally cut the donor larger than the car, giving me ovelap round the perimeter.. then I cut & butt weld it, eliminating welds through the center of the roof..

Once again, it's been a long time since I posted.. a few months ago I acquired a floppy reader attachment.. So here's a build I did 23 years ago.. this is a 4" Bonneville chop patterned after the Prock & Howell car.. it required moving the top door hinges down to the beltline, among other involved cuts.. the person I was doin the car for switched directions and sold it as a roller.. the quality of these pics may not be the best..

I've not posted in quite awhile.. After 3 yrs sittin, I put the 40 back together and took it to Rock & Race this past weekend.. it was a refresher course in startin from scratch..
I'd like to thank Nick Lanzaretta for spending Saturday helpin.. and Jr for stepping on to the track like he'd ben there forever & his help in the pits..

A few months ago I gave Jr a fiberglass Austin I had.. It's a good father/son project that will teach him some things.. we took time to work on it this week.. we made the lift bar rear suspension... He got to weld for the first time & did very well.. matter of fact, i showed him how to set the mig and he welded 80% of it..
