In this first picture these are inspection pilot holes of a fresh repair from a bottom strike at the rudder box and strutt. This was sent to us to redo because of a suspected cheap repair. This is automotive bondo used instead of structural fiberglass. Make sure you’re getting the correct repair especially if your insurance is paying for it. All areas were cleaned out reglassed, hardware fitted and regelcoated.

This was a brutal winter project of this 04 B52 MB SPORTS boat. It’s a one owner boat and I was there the day the owner purchased it. I’m proud to have given it a major turn around. It was very labor intensive with a lot of DA and wet sanding of the worst areas , noting that these MB’s gelcoat is paper thin. It had extreme gelcoat separation and oxidation. You can not stop either but you can control and slow it. Now back to the customer 🌊

Ordering and receiving the correct gelcoat and having it match, can sometimes be harder than the actual repair. Both are white in the catalog. One is MB Sports and the other is MasterCraft. They also can vary from year to year.. Can you see the difference.
