Our condolences to Officer Thyme's family, the Newport News Police Department and all that knew her.

A TRUE HERO: "Officer Katie Thyne was a true hero. She will always be remembered for that." Those are the words from Newport News Police Department Police Chief Steve Drew about Officer Thyne, who died in the line of duty Thursday night, January 23, 2020.
