The Old Dominion Region-SCCA Solo Committee has approved Street Driven (SD) as provisionally eligible as Supplemental Classes for the 2026 Championship Series! Street Driven is an SCCA Solo preparation category designed for autocross competitors in daily-driven cars with common street modifications that don't fit the existing SCCA preparation category structure.
The goal is to be broad enough that we can class a car immediately without consulting a rulebook, while being restrictive enough that the most competitive SD cars will remain genuinely street driveable. Modifications that make a car illegal or impractical on the street are heavily penalized.
We don't have SD classes available to select yet for pre-registration in motorsportreg, but it's set up on our T&S laptop and we can reclass competitors at registration. As a Provisional Class, it's subject to changes or cancelation.
