Cotton’s Corner Racing

Cotton’s Corner Racing Cotton’s Corner is a 1/8 mile dirt oval track located in Virgilina, Va. Built for everyone to come and enjoy and run just for the pure adrenaline rush.

It’s a short track designed to push the limits of the kart and the skills of the driver. Come join us! Spectators are welcome we have areas along the front stretch where you can set up your lawn chairs where you can be up close and personal to the action

It’s been along time coming. Here’s a run down of the Non Prep and Reaper Prep
Points Series. If you I’ve made a mistake on something let me know at Saturday’s race. Points sheets are in no particular order, so make sure to look at them closely.
Guru points will be out before the next Guru points race.

Race update for July 18!
We will be running our Reaper prep and non prep points series this weekend. But we will also run limited open tire races also. Open tire races will be the following classes.
350 & 425 stock
350 RWYB
40+ 350 stock
40+ 350 RWYB
THESE OPEN TIRE RACES WILL BE NON POINTS RACES.
These races will be run after all Reaper prep and non prep points races have been run.

Well if you missed this past weekends race you missed a good one. Yes it was hot extremely hot but that didn’t stop people from coming out. We had right at 40 karts. And a little better than 100 spectators. Track held up good even with the hot dry weather and was smooth and fast. I’d like to thank everyone who came out to show their support. Race Update!
Been waiting to see what weather was gonna be, well it’s gonna be hot. So we are trying to hold off starting as late as we can. So here’s how it’s gonna go.
3:00 gates open
4:30 practice
5:30 qualifying
7:00 races start
There will be a time limit on each race. 20 minute time limit on each 50 lap race. So it’s 50 laps or 20 minutes which everyone comes first.

RACE UPDATE
Quick update on July 4th 50 lap race. I heard some may not run because 50 laps is to many, it’s takes 12 seconds to make a lap do 50 laps it takes you ten minutes to run a race if you have no caution. I’m 51 and I’m gonna run two classes.
Next issue of RWYB class heard some weren’t gonna run cause of the 50 laps but they get a break at 30 laps to refuel and change oil in motors then run the other
20 lap shoot out for the win.
Look guys I work hard to keep the race track
Going I try to do different things to keep it exciting. Like the backwards race everyone said you couldn’t do it we would tare up karts and they weren’t meant to run that way. Not a single person got hurt or any karts got tore up. It’s all about having fun and putting On a show for the spectators.
I hope the ones that are on the fence about racing will come join us for a night of fun and excitement. Trust me it’s gonna be a night to remember
