⚓ Building the Cape and Islands’ marine workforce from the dock up! On any given morning, our harbors are full of boats waiting on one thing: a technician. The region’s Blue Economy depends on people who can keep these boats running.

The Center for Community and Professional Education (CCAPE) at Cape Cod Community College is answering that call with the College’s first Registered Apprenticeship Program in Marine Outboard Engine Technology! 🛠️

This is a massive milestone—it is the first Marine Outboard Technician registered apprenticeship in the entire Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

The “Earn While You Learn” Breakdown:
💰 Get Paid to Learn: 2,000 hours of paid, employer-sponsored on-the-job training alongside industry pros.
📚 Classroom Instruction: 150+ hours of related technical instruction designed by Marine Technology Coordinator Curt Ainsworth.
🏆 Real Credentials: A sustainable career path lined up with ABYC and Yamaha Outboard certifications.
