Making some changes to the Junior program for 2027

- Every race counts - No drops - all 8 races are counted towards the championship, we will do our best to work around other tracks schedules or bigger events but our plan is only 4 weekends / 8 events for 2027

- Buybacks - since a 2nd chance race rarely happens we are going to implement Buybacks after Round 1 (Juniors only). No points will count if you buyback but this is your chance to stop your closest competitor if they are gaining points

- 1st & 2nd round will be random pairs (bye pulled off best R / T out of the TR) - 3rd round will start the ladder based on R/T from the 2nd round

- Once you are in the lanes and paired you must remain on that spot, there will be no cherry picking, hanging back at the end of the lanes, once you enter the lanes in the left or right lane that is where you stay, if you are seen switching lanes you will be sent back to your trailer, unless you are told by a MA official to move over. If you have to run a teammate, sister or best friend, unfortunately it’s part of racing.

- Lane choice will be by the driver who is at the front of the line for R1 & 2 - So that means if we have 1 LL car and 6 RL cars the first pair will go out then it will be front to back with the back car moving to the empty lane. Once on a ladder it will be best R/T from Round 2 gets lane choice and lance choice will be determined by previous rounds R/T.

- Anyone under the age of 18 (unless you have a drivers license) is not permitted to drive / ride a motorized bike / atv during a MA event which is from Sat AM till Sunday PM (we have no control over Friday night), if seen the bike will be taken and you will get it back at the end of the weekend, all bikes / atvs are not to be ridden 2 hours past the end of racing, the membership forms will have a signed waiver for kid and parent to sign and if you don’t do points a waiver must be signed before you race at a Mid Atlantic event - no exceptions.

Here is the official Banquet form to be mailed / handed back to me - the Cutoff is March 11th, 2027! We will do our best to get everyone seated where they want to be once all the RSVP’s are in.

Once again there will be an amount limit on the tickets to be sold (190):

Champs get 2 tickets free
Top 5 get 1 ticket
Sponsors get 1 ticket

Rest of the tickets are $40 and 6-12 are $25 and 5 below are $5

Good morning racers,

I wanted to give everyone an update on shirts for the 2026 champions, we are unfortunate to announce that we will not be doing shirts for the 2026 season unless a sponsor wants to step up or an upcoming graphic designer wants to design them and we can just have the company put them on the shirts. As most know last year we moved away from the free t-shirt to every member to having the racers have to purchase a shirt, in 2024 we moved away from Wiekel Sportswear and went with a different company and we’ll say the quality / art was below average and I have lots of those left over also. We went back to Wiekel in 2025 and upon review we have alot of shirts left over from the 2025 season. When the cost factors come into play we order the minimum required of 144 shirts but as Dana & I found at PRI in 2024, most shirt companies don’t want to do anything over 3-4 cars per shirt and we’re doing 7-8 cars for our shirts which ups the cost because the artist is designing 8 cars and graphic, I can tell you it’s about $4k for the design, artwork, screen print and shipping and if you don’t sell shirts your stuck holding that bill and it racks up year after year and as the years go by we have to do blow out sales and sell the shirts for like $5 or 3 for $10 which is a huge loss. We apologize to those who won championships and we really want to do shirts but it’s just not in the books to do so, if the 8 champs would like to get together and could promise they could sell 144 total shirts (would have to be pre-ordered) between them all then I will do them but that would have to be discussed between everyone.

We are finishing up the calendars for the 2027 Mid Atlantic Junior Series; I have a few more months to complete but they will be ready to ship / pick up by early December - these make great items for the office, shop or house and honors our champs, top 10, our Bristol Team, winners in 2026 and I added a page for those Juniors who are moving up / out of the series for 2027 (if I forgot anyone that races with us on a regular basis please let me know).

They are $25 a piece and $10 S&H - payment can be made via check, venmo, zelle or paypal, whatever is easier for you. I should have the final design done in the next few days.
