I know several of y’all have asked what the latest update is on the track and we apologize for the long delay and silence. With so much going on with our kids, spouses and jobs coupled with some unforeseen obstacles that got in our way plans have drastically changed. That being said it is with extreme sadness that the track will just simply not come into being. Especially not at this time, maybe somewhere done the road we can overcome those obstacles and try again. In the meantime I’ve made the decision to donate all of the pipe that we brought back from SIC to another new track that wasn’t faced with these challenges. I also had a local building materials supplier and my own home builder donate enough lumber to build a pretty big drivers stand, (Approximately 10X40) since I can’t make this happen us I’ve decided to donate all of those building materials as well in an effort to do our part to support another track, our fellow racers and our beloved hobby. All this being said I want to thank everyone that has donated, helped, commented and shown interest in Strawberry Patch RC Park. I ask you to please help support Will Blevins and his track. I personally plan on doing everything in my power to support and promote him and this new track for years to come. Will Blevins and Chris Goodwin have worked their ass off to make this happen! Hats off to you guys! Mason and I are excited to come race with y’all. I’m sure Logan, Corey and Michael feel the same.

Good Morning strawberry patch followers, sorry we haven’t posted in a while but we have been really busy working on the track and getting the logistics of the track underway so to show you the progress of everything here you go!!!! We’re getting extremely close in a lot of areas and putting a lot of stuff together but it’s coming together for sure.

I know that we’ve been a little quiet in here, but that doesn’t mean that we haven’t done anything. Corey Waters has been hard at it getting the pad ready and parking area cleared out and figuring out the entrance/exit for the track. Just wanted to give everyone an update!

TRACK UPDATE……………
It’s looking like track design #2 has the most votes so far. While nothing is set in stone we want each and every one of you to be involved in this track and to have a voice. At the end of the day this is “YOUR” track! I spent quite a lot of time on the phone today working on some of the next tasks at hand. That being said we now need y’all’s help more than ever. Shon Harding is designing and for the most part will be doing the actual construction of the track. While we have had so many offers to donate their time, donations of materials like all of the pipe from 2024 Southern Indoor Championship thanks to Dave Leikam and Lance MacDonald and Bobby Moore, we have found ourselves in need of being able to actually pay Shon for his time and talent. He has asked for $1,500, a place to get a shower and potentially a place to stay if weather turns cold on him. It looks like we have pretty much everything else covered aside from purchasing the timing system and some odd and ends expenses associated with the drivers stand. In return Shon has promised us that he will come over once a month to host a race at no charge to us and will bring one of his own timing systems if need be. While most of you don’t really know myself (Tracey Patterson),Michael Elrod, Logan Faulkner or Corey Waters y’all do know Shon Harding. That being said if you would like to make a donation to help cover his travel expenses and pay him for a job well done so that we all can can benefit from it for years to come please send it to his PayPal at [email protected]. I figured most of you would be more comfortable with it going straight to him. In the event that you want to meet up with one of us and do it in person that is fine we will simply write you a receipt and get you proof that we have forwarded the money to him. It doesn’t matter how much or how little you give, please just donate what you can. He has told me that it will have to be at least after Psycho Nitro Blast before he can turn loose of things in Georgia. Once he is here, he says he only needs about three days to get it completed. That gives us plenty of time to finish up site work, get dirt piled up for him and get the driver stand done. Hopefully we will also have lights up,the power and water ran and a few other loose ends tied up. Thank you again for everyone’s interest and support. Great things are on the way.

Track update: We came back and picked up all the pipe, about to head back to Vincent with a generous donation from Dave Leikam and the Racetime Entertainment crew. It’s almost time to start moving some dirt. Just waiting on Shon Harding to finish up some track designs. A big thanks to Corey Waters and my son Mason for riding along to help load up.

Now that we all made it back from SIC we can get back to planning this track for us all to enjoy. We were supposed to pick up the pipe after the race on Monday but Mother Nature had other plans. I have worked it out with management of the arena to get it pick up in the next week or so. Shon Harding is working on layout while spending time with their new baby boy. More info to come as soon as it’s available. We appreciate everyone’s enthusiasm and interest in the track. Thank you for all that stopped by our pit area at SIC today hi and ask questions.
