It's National Pet Day! We would like to officially introduce Enzo, our shop dog. Enzo is our 14 week old black boxer who loves to visit with our customers when he is not sleeping. He has a brother, Maverick, who is brindle that comes to the shop sometimes as well.

If you have ever been to Vienna Automotive Center then you have most likely met Diesel. Diesel is a favorite of all of our customers, and some come in to see him even if they aren't having their vehicle worked on. If he isn't at the shop for some reason, someone always asks where he is. He has touched so many people during the past nearly 10 years he has been part of our family.

It is with great sadness that we let everyone know that Diesel passed away last night surrounded by his family. 10 years, 1 month, and 4 days. That was not nearly enough time with our Diesel. On Sunday evening we found out he had lung cancer that had spread throughout his body. We were thankful that he remained strong and was able to visit with all of our employees at both Vienna and Anna this week and some very special customers and friends who came in to visit. We loved him so much and no words can describe how much we are going to miss him.

Last weekend, Amanda and Rob took all the employees of Anna Tire and Auto Center and Vienna Automotive Center to Nashville to celebrate Christmas together. We all had lots of fun together, ate lots of food, and some of us partied harder than others. We started our trip with a catered lunch at Lane Motor Museum and enjoyed a private vault tour seeing hundreds of really cool cars. After checking in to the hotel we spent the evening at Game Terminal were more food and drinks were flowing all night. Some of the team went downtown, some went back to hang out at the hote together, and some went to sleep. The morning came too fast as some checked out to head home and others of us set out to shop and enjoy lunch together at the Cheesecake Facory. I think it is safe to say everyone came home tired and stuffed, but we can all say we had a good time. We were thankful for this time with our teams to celebrate another successful year that would not have been possible without our team members.

We want to give a shout out to one of our techs. Chandler Ford completed an AutoTech: Electrical class last week at CTC in Cape Girardeau. Yesterday he took 2 ASE tests, engine repair and electrical/electronic systems, and passed them both. He is on is way to being an ASE Master Tech. Congratulations, Chandler. We are proud of you.

Brown's Shoe Fit Cape from Cape Girardeau, Missouri rolled out the red carpet for our employees right here at our shop. They came in to personally fit all our hardworking employees with brand-new shoes that we’ve gotten just for them.

We’re super excited to give our team the comfort and support they deserve—after all, they’re always on their feet keeping our customers rolling smoothly!

Today was one of Rob and Amanda's favorite days of the year at work. Meat bonus day! Every year we buy animals at the Union County Fair from customers of ours. This year we bought projects for 2 pigs, 1 cow, and 1 goat. Thank you to the families of Walter Jackson , Mark Glasco and Amy Jo Glasco, and Mark Kirk for teaching your children the true meaning of work and sacrifice. We were able to buy the pigs and cows from the families after the fair sale. Kooper took his grand champion goat back to the farm where he continues to live on the Glasco farm. Today we picked up the meat and distributed it to our work family at Anna Tire & Auto Center and Vienna Automotive Center. Each one of our 13 full time employees got 27 lb ground beef, 6 lb ground sausage, 3 lb bacon, 2 packages of pork chops, 2 packages of pork steaks, 3 large slices of ham, 2 packages of stew meat, 2 roasts, and 6 packages of steaks - sirloin, t-bone, and porterhouse. We have so many more gifts for our employees over the next couple months and can't wait to share them all. We really do appreciate every single one of our employees and know they are the reason we continue to have two successful businesses that are able to provide auto repair service to Union and Johnson counties.

It was such a pleasure talking with this group of young adults today. They really got to me when they asked me what we are most proud of as business owners. This question made me tear up as I looked at several of them that we have had the pleasure of watching grow up over the past 11 years and told them that being part of our small community where so many families trust us to take care of their vehicles which helps keep their families safe. I enjoy being able to teach teenage drivers, especially the young women, how to ask for auto repair services and be assertive so they can take care of these issues on their own as they spread their wings and leave home for the first time. In the world we live in, it is important to have someone you can trust to provide services to you, such as auto repair, and we are proud to be that auto shop for so many families in Johnson County. This class is going to do big things and set some high standards for future CEO classes to follow, and we can't wait to see it all happen.
