🌿 SUNDAY THOUGHT — MAMA SAID… 🌿
Mama said, “Don’t try to put a square peg in a round hole.”
Funny how some of Mama’s simplest sayings can carry a whole lot of truth.
Sometimes we spend too much time forcing things that God never intended to fit—a plan, a relationship, an opportunity, a direction, even a door we’re determined to open.
Psalm 127:1 reminds us:
🙏 “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.”
Not every closed door needs to be kicked open.
Not every “no” needs to become a “yes.”
And not everything we want is meant to fit into the life God is building for us.
Sometimes faith means working harder.
Sometimes faith means having the wisdom to stop forcing the square peg into the round hole and trust that God has a place where it fits perfectly.
This Sunday, maybe the prayer is simply:
“Lord, help me stop forcing my plans and start following Yours.”
Because when God builds it, directs it, and puts it together… it fits. ❤️
