The front wood deck of this Shoalwater was rotten. Upon removal we found the wood that reinforced the front winch eye was also rotten and the hatch floor has delaminated from the hull. Areas in the hatch compartment were replaced and fixed prior to a new composite deck.

This Gulf Coast hit something that left two deep gouges in the bottom of the hull. While in the shop for those repairs, we were asked to repair some areas on back of the transom. All work is complete.

Back in the day, all transoms were made of wood and many have experienced rot. This 1980 Glastron had ALL the wood removed and going back with fiberglass reinforced composite. We ate fiberglassing together 3Ea. Pieces of 3/4” for a total thickness of 2 1/4”. No more rot and years of worry free service once complete.

A couple of major redos in the works at the shop. Homemade barge had fiberglass and plywood delamination for the bottom. Barge was unrigged and flipped to do a full bottom redo. Going back with composite decking, multiple layers of glass and new gelcoat.
1980 Glaston lake boat is having a new transom and stringers installed. Then new foam, floor and a full repaint.
