Before you head out this weekend, make sure each person in your crew has a properly fitted, U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket and wears it. Read the life jacket label. Inspect each life jacket for damage, ensure a proper fit, and follow the manufacturer’s maintenance instructions.

SafeTALK and ASIST teach skills that work, how to notice when something's off, how to ask the question directly, and how to stay with someone until they're connected to real help. Asking someone whether they're thinking about su***de doesn't put the idea in their head. It opens a door to help.

Every spring and fall, Magee Marsh becomes one of the most remarkable places in Ohio, and most of the state has no idea. This narrow strip of wetland along Lake Erie is a resting stop for millions of migrating birds, and the famous boardwalk puts you right in the middle of it. 🐦

For generations it has drawn people who come with binoculars and patience, walking slow through the cattails, watching warblers flit through the branches just a few feet away. The marsh water mirrors the sky, the reeds sway, and time seems to stretch out.

What makes it unforgettable is how little it has changed. The same light, the same reflections, the same wild pause in the middle of a busy modern world. 🌾
