We’ll this was a new one for us. Got a customers foxbody in for a t5 rebuild, customer stated hard to get in any gear and grinds in third. Found the shifter bolts was loose allowing the shifter to move around and then found this jewel. This metal plate was machined and placed between the transmission and bell housing to accommodate for the sn95 t5 going on a foxbody bell housing. Could’ve been fixed with a 70.00 fox input shaft but was given bad advice and paid I’m assuming a lot to have this machined. The throwout bearing was only about 3/4” on the bearing retainer and input shaft was just barely touching the pilot bearing.
