After 18 weeks everything is going back together. Motor Machine Shop when ahead and did a refresh since it had to come apart. 6 bolt head gaskets, new deep pan from Ryan Mueller/Mueller performance and finished up by Sho-Me Speed. Got the motor set in tonight. Gotta finish handful of things and should be back to racing.

It's not always rainbows and butterflies. Had an oil pump failure and ultimately ended up catching it to late. After swapping pumps and changing oil twice motor just wasn't keeping pressure that we were comfortable with. Got the motor pulled out will have the crank checked and get new bearings in it and anything else it needs. Thanks to Mueller Performance getting us hooked up with one of his Moroso oil pans. Big thanks to Sho-Me Speed for getting everything in order to get back at it.

Well definitely not the outcome we expected but also not disappointed in the least bit. Put the car on the dyno today. Made HUGE improvements right away. Turbo was just beginning to get happy when the throttle body gasket decided it was gonna head out. Overall very few issues and we made right at 1000whp on just 18lbs. Now to wait for some warmer weather and run some numbers. Huge thankyou to Sho-Me Speed for their tuning and dialing it all in.

Definitely had a fair share of struggles this year. Recently had a misfire that resulted in a crack in the number 4 cylinder. Got a Dart Machinery Ls Next block in and over to Motor Machine Shop to get it all taken care of. Luckily no damage to anything else.

First outing on the new set up. Couldn't ask for better results from Sho-Me Speed. Finnished the car took it down the street to check everything over. Loaded it up and to the track we went. We were in the 5.50 class on an untested combo. Testing we went 5.49. Tune up is still very conservative. Cant wait to start leaning on it.

Hotside is about finished up., parachute mount installed, new Moser 9" complete. Now on to charge pipe, VPS, mounting hood/front clip and a few wiring odds and ends. Then off to the dyno for a tune.

When I stated this page it was more of a photo dump and what not for my kiddo. Something that when he gets older he can look back on. It's gotten more followers than I ever intended even at the few that are following lol.
I'm going to do better at running this page now that the car has changed directions. Little history on the car
79 Camaro that I purchased for a street rod and like all projects or spun outta control. Now here we are 4 years and 4 engines later. I bought this car with with a 468 BBC. We changed it over to a 454 with a 8-71 blower then a Lsx454 and then went to a boosted 5.3.
The current set up for 2021 will be:

5.3 L33 rod and piston deal built by Race 1 Engineering
Garrett Gt5533 88mm
Powerglide with special touches from DNJ Components
9" Moser Engineering rear end
Holley Efi
AFCO Racing suspension
Leaf spring with Calvert Racing Suspensions Caltracs
Tuned by Sho-Me Speed

We will be taking some weight out of the car and finally turning it up now that we have the correct combo. Getting rid of the 10 bolt rear end should help wonders. As of now the car has been 5.6x but we feel there is a Lotta room for growth with this new combo.
