Why does Tuson brake one side of the trailer instead of both?

It comes down to physics. When a trailer starts to sway, it's moving side to side - not just slowing down. Braking both sides equally does nothing to correct that lateral motion; it just slows the whole trailer down while the sway continues.

When a caravan starts to sway, how the brakes respond matters.

Traditional symmetric systems apply braking to both sides of the caravan at the same time. Tuson Asymmetric Sway Control takes a different approach - it can apply braking independently to the left or right side of the trailer, depending on the direction of the sway.
