A few boat disposals of abandoned and derelict vessels. Paid for by a State grant program, the purpose is to identify abandoned or derelict vessels and have them removed and disposed of before they become a larger issue. These days, we see boat owners trying to give boats away for free, which later become nuisances for the Harbor. There is no such thing as a free boat, and anyone who is taking a boat for free, likely won’t have the financial resources available to afford ownership of a dilapidated boat.

A hard grounding last week off of Summerland sustained damage rendering the vessel beyond repair. Our team deployed our suite of damage control supplies to patch the hull damage before pulling the boat off and down to Ventura for disposal.
