WE ARE ASKING FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!

On Monday, October 9th, 2023, the Ventura City Council will be voting on an issue that directly affects Auto Medic and all the other businesses located here in the Montalvo Auto Service Center. The City of Ventura GPAC (General Planning Advisory Committee) has proposed to change the land use designation where we are located from General Industrial to Mixed Use 4.This means we would no longer be able to operate our business in this location AND they are planning to build 4 story high housing complexes in our place. We would NOT be able to relocate in the city of Ventura. In other words, we would have to close our business, or move to another city, or possibly county, where they allow automotive businesses to operate.The Montalvo Community Council and Ventura Planning Commission have recommended changing the designation to Light Industrial Flex which would allow us to remain here and provide our community with the services that we offer and have for many, many years.To learn more about this, please visit:cityofventura.ca.gov and montalvocc.wordpress.comCome out and join us on October 9th, at the next City Council meeting, where we can make a difference just by being there! You can fill out a comment card to state who you are representing (Montalvo Auto Service Center), and even choose to speak if you desire! It is as simple as saying, I am against the GPAC proposal, and I am for the Montalvo Community Council and Planning Commission’s recommendations so that the businesses in the Montalvo Auto Service Center can remain in business! You do NOT have to speak…a room overflowing with supportive community members speaks volumes to the council. You can also submit your comments online by visiting the city’s website listed above.

s you know, this Coronavirus pandemic is affecting the entire world and our immediate community at a very fast rate. We are closely monitoring the developing COVID-19 situation and following the guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to help prevent the spread of the virus.

Here are the steps we are taking to avoid the spread of COVID-19 and ensure your safety:

We recognize that your vehicle is a very personal space and to that measure our team is wearing gloves and masks before beginning any work on your vehicle. We are wiping down our common area with anti-bacterial wipes (door handles, counters, waiting room chairs, coffee and water dispensers) to help prevent to the best of our ability, the spread of germs.

Hand sanitizer is readily available as are single use gloves to wear when signing paperwork or processing payments.

Our employees have been asked to stay home if they feel sick, or anyone in their family is unwell.

We appreciate your business and will continue to be available to assist you with your vehicle maintenance and, or concerns. Auto Medic will do our best to keep our customers, employees and community safe!
