Today is a tough one for our shop and our family.

After 12 years with us, our friend, teammate, and brother, Nelson Lazo, is moving on to a new opportunity that allows him to be closer to and provide for his family.

Over the past 12 years, we’ve done a whole lot more than just work together. We’ve built trucks together, solved problems together, laughed together, and shared in the ups and downs of life. We’ve watched our kids grow up, raised our families alongside each other, and somewhere along the way, he became much more than an employee — he became family.

There’s no easy way to say goodbye to someone who has been such a big part of our story. The entire team is going to miss having him here every day. His knowledge, hard work, friendship, and presence have left a mark on this shop that won’t be replaced.

But while we’re sad to see him leave, we’re also incredibly proud and happy for him. Sometimes the right thing for a family means taking a new path, and we support him 100% as he takes this next step.

So, to our friends, customers, and everyone who has gotten to know him over the years: Nelson is officially leaving Leopold Truck & Auto today to pursue this new opportunity. We are grateful for every year, every truck, every late day, every laugh, and every memory.

You may be leaving the shop, but you’re not leaving the family.

Once family, always family.

We love you, brother. We’re proud of you. Go chase this next chapter — and remember, you’ll always have a home here.
