⚓️ Another Successful Boat Adventure! 🌊💙

Yesterday we had the pleasure of helping some friends bring their new-to-them boat from Naples all the way home to Venice! 🛥️

We couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather or a better day on the water. ☀️🌊 There’s just something special about helping friends start a brand-new chapter of adventures on their boat.

Naples ➡️ Venice — mission accomplished! ⚓️

🐬💙 DAY 6 — HOME SWEET HOME! ⚓️🏠

We’re officially back in our own waters, and it looks like our dolphin friends missed us! 🐬🌊🩵 What an amazing welcome home after six incredible days traveling across Florida.

From Fort Lauderdale → West Palm Beach → Stuart → Indiantown → Lake Okeechobee → LaBelle → Captiva → HOME to Venice, we did it! 🚤🙌

Five days filled with new waterways, locks, storms, wildlife, beautiful sunrises, unexpected challenges, boat maintenance, lots of laughs and memories we will never forget.

And our homecoming was made even more special by our friend Chris, who surprised us at the Manasota Beach Road Bridge and captured a video of us making the final stretch home. 💙 Thank you, Chris! What a wonderful surprise and such a special memory for us to have.

As we look back on this entire journey, we are feeling so incredibly grateful and blessed. 🙏

Grateful for everyone who helped us along the way, for the advice from people who knew these waters, for all the friendly faces at the locks and marinas, for our family and friends cheering us on, and for every one of you who followed along with our adventure.

We experienced parts of Florida we had never seen, tackled some new challenges, learned a LOT and had one heck of an adventure together. ❤️⚓️

But after all those miles, there's still no better feeling than coming under that bridge and knowing...

WE'RE HOME! 💙🌊⚓️

🚤🌅 FLORIDA BY BOAT — DAY 4 COMPLETE! 🌅🚤
📍 St. Lucie River ➡️ Lake Okeechobee ➡️ LaBelle

What a day! We pushed off at 6:30 AM, traveled over 70 miles at an average of about 10 mph, crossed Lake Okeechobee, made it through THREE locks, dodged the Florida storms, saw tons of wildlife…and finally made it to LaBelle for the night! 💙🌊🩵

We were a little nervous about the depth crossing Lake Okeechobee, but it ended up being an easy passage for us. A HUGE thank you to TowBoat Captain Frank, who spends his days on Lake Okeechobee, for the great advice and help. Local knowledge is priceless on a trip like this! ⚓️

Today’s locks:
⚓ Port Mayaca Lock
⚓ Moore Haven Lock & Dam
⚓ Ortona Lock — our biggest drop of the day at 8 feet!

And we weren't alone in the Ortona Lock…we had a surprise manatee come through the lock with us! 😂💙 Definitely a first!

The wildlife today was incredible. We saw alligators, white pelicans, and even had a brown b***y bird follow us across the lake. Then, as we traveled the Caloosahatchee River, there were cows standing along the water watching us cruise by. 🐊🦩🐦🐄

Everyone working the locks today was so helpful and friendly, which made learning this whole process much easier.

Best of all? Somehow we managed to avoid every storm today! 🙌⛈️

We're finally tied up in LaBelle. Capt. Brad is doing a little boat maintenance before we can officially call it a night — because apparently a 70+ mile day isn't enough work for him. 😂🔧🚤

We're tired, but what an incredible day. New waters, new challenges, new experiences and a whole lot of memories.

Day 4 is officially in the books! 💙⚓️
Tomorrow…we keep making our way toward home in Venice!
